As an Import Operations Officer, you handle import shipments for domestic and international customers. You stay in close contact with customers, overseas agents, transport companies and shipping lines. You coordinate the different stages of each shipment, handle enquiries and take care of the administrative and commercial tasks involved.

When things do not go according to plan, your solution-oriented mindset comes into play. You adapt to changing circumstances, follow up on outstanding questions and help keep operations moving.

You keep the different parties informed and make sure the operational and administrative tasks involved in our import shipments are handled reliably.

Handle import shipments

You take care of handling import shipments for domestic and international customers.

Communicate with customers and partners

You coordinate with customers, overseas agents, transport companies and shipping lines, ensuring relevant information is shared.

Arrange customs handling and on-carriage

You prepare quotations for customs handling and on-carriage and take care of the necessary arrangements.

Handle enquiries

You deal with general import enquiries, answer outstanding questions and help resolve irregularities.

Manage invoices

You handle invoice queries, issue invoices and follow up on outstanding payments.
